Thomas Wetteland Jones
Conductor
|
Thomas Wetteland Jones has extensive
experience as a choral conductor, composer, and
educator. His work as a professional conductor
includes serving as Assistant Conductor of the
New York Choral Society and the New York Choral
Society Chamber Singers. For the past eight
years he has been the conductor of the
Huntington Men’s Chorus. He is presently
Director of Music for the Three Village Central
School District and conductor of the Mineola
Choral Society. After graduating from Amherst
College, Mr. Jones studied Composition and
Conducting and received a Master of Music degree
from Northwestern University. He studied
conducting with the late Margaret Hillis and
Helmuth Rilling. His compositions have been
performed in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and
Huntington. |

Dimitri Dover
Accompanist
|
Dimitri Dover is only the
fourth accompanist in the sixty-two year history of the
Huntington Men’s Chorus. A graduate of the Peabody
Conservatory, Mr. Dover received a Master's degree and
Graduate Performance Diploma. He was twice honored with
performances at the Peabody commencement ceremony and
was the recipient of both Conservatory prizes in
Accompanying. A fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center
and Aspen Music Festival, he is also a graduate of
Harvard University, where he performed extensively as
concerto soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician.
Recent performances include the inaugural recital
of the Cronyn Centre Space (London, Ontario); recitals
with Richard Sher, founding cellist of the Vermeer
Quartet; with cellists Caitlin Sullivan and Alex Croxton
at Weill Recital Hall in New York; and concerts with the
Rosetta Trio, Arcturus Chamber Ensemble (Boston), and
North Shore Pro Musica (Long Island). Mr. Dover teaches
at the Church Street School of Music and Art in New
York. |
